Renewable Energy, Home Owners Associations and Covenant Restrictions:
Residential photovoltaic (solar panel) array and wind turbine system installations are protected under colorado state law, no Home Owners Association (HOA) or other covenant restrictive group may prevent a home owner from installing renewable energy projects on his or her property.
Such a group may create rules about the "style" of the installation, but not to such an extent that it materially increases the cost of the project.
