The State of Colorado waives all sales tax on renewable energy system (solar array & wind turbine) installations.

Xcel-Energy

Xcel-Energy Corporation offers exceptional rebates to their Colorado customers for Solar Photovoltaic Systems. Systems up to 10kW are eligable for up to $1.75 per installed DC watt in rebate. These rebates are falling fast, as Xcel-Energy has now posted a reduction schedule. Act now to lock in the current rebate before it is lowered again.

Xcel-Energy's rebate is paid by check approximately 6 weeks after a system is installed. The rebate can be paid directly to Complete Engineering Solutions, LLC at the home or business owners request, greatly reducing the cash required for a solar system installation.

In addition to the upfront rebate small system (smaller than 10kW) owners are elibible to recieve a Renewable Energy Credit (REC) payment of $0.04 per kWh generated. This amount is paid to the customer regardless of wether or not the power is used by the customer or sold back to the grid.

Xcel-Energy also offers rebates on larger installations. The full details of the Xcel-Energy rebates can be reviewed here: Xcel-Energy Solar Rewards
